Borough of Sayreville

Sayreville, NJ

As of December 2020, Sayreville’s floating solar array was the largest in the United States. The array is located on over 15-acres of a manmade reservoir used by the Borough of Sayreville’s on-site plant.  Benefits include cost reductions for the plant, use of unutilized water area versus ground, reduced algae growth, and allowing existing land to be utilized for possible future expansion.
